Overview
Dr. Christophe Buffet is a researcher at the French Development Agency (AFD), specializing in climate change adaptation and Loss & Damage. From 2018 to 2024, he led AdaptAction, supporting adaptation efforts in 12-18 countries, particularly in Africa, SIDS, and the Mediterranean Basin. Previously, he worked in the humanitarian sector in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He holds a PhD from EHESS (2015) on climate change adaptation from COP to vulnerable villages in Bangladesh, a Master's in International Relations (IRIS, 2008), and a Master's in Business Management and Marketing (Audencia, 1998).
