Overview

I am an agronomist and climate activist with a strong academic background in crop production and environmental sciences, currently finalizing my Master’s research on sustainable intercropping systems at BUAN, Botswana. With over five years of experience in environmental advocacy, climate negotiations, and youth leadership, I have mentored young researchers and climate actors across Central and Southern Africa. As a member of the Loss and Damage Youth Coalition and a focal point for AEN-DRC, I actively support research-based climate solutions. My work integrates science, policy, and community action to build resilient food systems and empower the next generation of changemakers.

"Research is not just about data, it's a tool for justice, resilience, and transformation. Through science rooted in community realities, we can shape solutions that restore ecosystems, empower youth, and protect vulnerable lives from climate impacts. Every field experiment is a step toward a more sustainable and equitable future"

Agronomy and Environmental | Master`s certificate

2023-03-20 - 2025-06-02

I am currently completing a Master`s degree in Agronomy, specializing in Crop Production and Environmental Sciences at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN). My academic training focuses on sustainable agriculture, plant physiology, and climate-resilient cropping systems. My thesis research investigates the response of upland rice to intercropping with grain legumes (cowpea and Bambara groundnut) under semi-arid conditions in Botswana. This work examines key aspects such as nitrogen fixation, soil fertility, chlorophyll content, growth parameters, and yield performance. It also assesses the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of intercropped systems, aiming to enhance sustainable food production and soil health in low-input farming environments. My studies are complemented by fieldwork, data analysis, and laboratory assessments, equipping me with practical and scientific skills in agronomic research, environmental monitoring, and sustainable food

Loss and Damage Youth Coalition

DR-CONGO | Climate Change Researcher and Youth Engagement Officer.

2022-10-20 - Present

As a member of the Loss and Damage Youth Coalition (LDYC), I advocate for climate justice by amplifying the voices of youth from vulnerable communities, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo and across Africa. I contribute to policy brief development, engage in UNFCCC negotiations, and lead awareness campaigns on the need for dedicated finance for Loss and Damage. I also mentor emerging youth leaders, coordinate local consultations, and represent youth perspectives in regional and global dialogues to ensure equitable solutions for those most affected by climate impacts.
