Description: My research is on loss of quality of life (shelter, food, health, skills, education). Following the tropical cyclone freddy which was devastating and affected the southern part of Malawi in March, 2023, the department relocated some of the communities that were living in high risk areas to safer places. My research is focusing on finding out how the relocated communities are living in the host communities, what are the opportunities, challenges, key recommendations and quantify the non-economic loss and damage. The case study of the research is Osiyana communities in Nsanje District which is in the southern region of Malawi.
